Basically the day did not start well...Prince and I usually drive for a hour and a half to Ilford every morning so we can spend some quality time together and I can talk about my feelings and what he can do to make me happy. This works well for both of us because I love to talk and he loves to pretend to listen to me talk...That didn't happen today because SOMEONE made me late so I had to take the train instead...
In some relationships when someone says they need to talk they often picture this:
But when I say I need to talk Prince just rolls his eyes and probably pictures this:
I think speaking is sooooooo important in a relationship because you have 2 people with 2 completely different personalities, backgrounds and vision coming together and unless you communicate and understand each other you're in for a bumpy ride.
For example, when we 1st got together I asked him over a 1000 questions in the space of a couple of days. One of the questions I asked was, "How many kids do you want?" He replied 12.
Our family portrait would have looked like this:
I was uncomfortable with this for a number of reasons: my body couldn't handle it, we would need to be millionaires because I want all my children to have swimming, violin, piano, trumpet and tennis lessons weekly and last of all I don't want to be driving a mini bus. So safe to say we had to talk...
I told him that we needed to talk and I expressed my concerns, after this we managed to bring the number to 6 which wasn't too bad. However, my ideal number is 3 so I can drive a normal car and I am proud to say after Prince spending a considerable amount of time with my siblings:
He's contemplating adoption...#BT #It'sgoodtotalk
