Where do I begin?

Once upon a time, there lived an unhappy young girl. Her mother was dead and her father had married a widow with two daughters. Her stepmother didn't like her one bit...ok, that's not quite how it went down but my overall point is that my relationship with Prince has been a fairytale. Its had all the components - a prince, beautiful peasant girl and a witch (who shall not be named).

My lovely husband-to-be (h2b) proposed on New Years day with African Queen playing in the background which was fitting for three reasons:



My Prince on bended knee



1. New Years indicates a new start, clean sheet and is not difficult to remember

2. I am African

3. I am his Queen

See why I 'm marrying him...so thoughtful! Today in the car on the way to work he even made time to compose and sing a song to me:

So its New Years I'm 23 and engaged, can't wait to tell the world all about it because I'm marrying the man of my dreams, the apple of my eye, the butter on my bread etc. But its already on instagram coz my bro Joseph is quick like that, my Uncle Isaac has already sent the footage to Ghana and facebook has heard all about it... I'm telling people I'm engaged and they are telling me, they already know! Is this life???

I've now been engaged for approx. 4 months (where did the time go!!!) and I've been through alot mentally, emotionally and FINANCIALLY but having said that I'm still excited about getting married. These next 100 days are going to be instrumental and I've already got symptoms of a bridezilla but hopefully this blog will help me to release some steam...
